Welcome to the recording department's online services site for the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder's Office in Aspen, Colorado. This site links you to our online services including our web based public records database, marriage license application kiosk, escrow agent login and a brief overview of our erecording service.
Our online public records search covers all indexing data from recorded documents between November 1977 to current. If you are interested in having access to the document images online; those are available through our paid web and ftp services . Otherwise document copies can be obtained by mail through our copy request form or by stopping by our office and using the public research room.
Annoucement: All paid web service users - we are currently having all documents between 1977 to 1992 convertered to a digital format. We hope to have these images imported into our system by late April / early May. This will add another 320+ thousand images!
Getting married? Colorado makes it very easy to obtain a license and get married in our beautiful state - state statute even allows couples to marry themselves! By filling out the required information with our online marriage application kiosk you will save a few minutes of time when you stop by our office to obtain the license. Escrow agents are those who have setup pre-paid accounts with us for our document copy and recording services. Anytime you have a fee based transaction with us the money is withdrawan from your escrow account saving you time and allowing us to immediately process your request. The escrow agent login service allows you to view you current balance, as well as all past account history directly online.
Annoucement: Escrow agent users can now get digital copies either emailed to them or by using your own flash drive in our research room. Digital copy fees are $0.25 per page for all documents except plats / surveys. Plat / Survey digital fee is $5.50 per page. For additional details please contact ryan.keith@co.pitkin.co.us
If you frequently record with us you may want to inquire about our erecording service. We have partnered with Aptitude Solutions and Simplifile to offer a very easy to use erecording solution. You can even eRecording release deed of trust documents that are processed by our public trustee's office and then sent directly to our recording system.
eRecording is as easy as sending an email, all you need is a scanner and computer with internet access. If would like more information please contact ryan.keith@co.pitkin.co.us.
